ABOUT ME

It ALL started in Wilmington, Delaware, but I was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, I was extremely shy, timid and awkward, and being the center of attention was pretty much my worst nightmare. Ironically, I always had the secret desire to perform.  I was placed in my first hip hop dance class at the age of 10, and fell in love with it! I knew from then on, dance would become a HUGE part of my life.

I went on to receive my BFA in dance from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where I trained primarily in modern and ballet. I had the pleasure of teaching my first set of hip hop classes for the duration of my senior year at U of I.

It was during my time at the University where I began to discover my voice as a choreographer. Over the years, I have continued to cultivate my artistic voice, and within that time, 12 concept videos have been created, including a seven-part series called, “Sincerely” based on the seven deadly sins, as well as numerous stage pieces that have been well received by the Chicago dance community. The more I explore, the more I realize how passionate I am about the art of storytelling, communicating, and connecting through dance. Ultimately, my goal is to create thought-provoking work that inspires people to think outside the box, and leaves them wanting more.

As a dancer, I have been an active member of Chicago's urban dance community and have danced with some of Chicago's elite hip hop companies including The Puzzle League. I have also had the honor of dancing for Chicago natives Chance The Rapper, Jennifer Hudson, and Keke Palmer. In 2017 and 2018 I was honored to be nominated for the renowned Monsters of Hip Hop Show cast.
